Getting to Harborview

Harborview Medical Center is located at the corner of Ninth Avenue and Jefferson Street. The Regional Epilepsy Center is located on the 4th floor of the WEST CLINIC.

There are two entrances to the medical center. The East Hospital Entrance faces Ninth Avenue. The West Hospital Entrance faces Eighth Avenue. The Admitting Office is located on the ground floor of the West Hospital Entrance.

Please note: while ongoing construction of HMC's Bond project continues, 9th Avenue (directly in front of Harborview) is blocked to through traffic. Make a right on 9th and Jefferson to access main lobby on 8th Avenue.

By Bus

Metro provides regular bus service to Harborview on several routes including routes 3, 4, 60, 64 and 303.(See metro schedules)
Express buses 941, and 942 run from suburban park-&-ride lots for 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening. (See metro schedules)

By Car

Take the James Street exit off Interstate 5 in the downtown area of Seattle.
Turn to go UP the hill (east) off James Street and proceed to 9th Avenue.
Turn right (south) on 9th Ave. (Top of hill)

Parking Instructions

Parking for patients and visitors is available in the View Park Garage off Alder Street. The garage is open from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. From 5:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., parking is free except in reserved 24-hour and on-call stalls. Open all day and free on Saturday and Sunday. Valet parking is available near the medical center's Eighth Avenue entrance.
